Vacation Notices
Easy-to-use web-based vacation notices have been added to PMDF 6.2. Now MessageStore, Popstore, VMS mailboxes, and Unix BSD users can set up an automatic out-of-office e-mail response to incoming e-mail messages. This feature is available on all PMDF supported platforms.

On UNIX platforms, local users who receive their mail via the l channel can generate vacation notices using a filtering tools such as procmail. Similarly, on OpenVMS platforms users who receive their mail via the l channel can use the DELIVER facility provided with PMDF. DELIVER is documented in the OpenVMS edition of the PMDF User's Guide. (DELIVER is not available for UNIX platforms.)
