On Tru64 UNIX, issue the command

# pmdf startup x400

This will start up a PMDF-X400 TSAPD process that knows, based on your answers to the pmdf configure x400 utility, whether to listen for incoming X.400 connections over OSI transport or over TCP/IP transport.
