PROCESS SOFTWARE RELEASES A NEW VERSION OF PRECISEMAIL ANTI-SPAM GATEWAY
FOR SITES WITH HIGH EMAIL VOLUME

Version 3.0 offers an Advanced Infrastructure (AI) module which provides a scalable backbone
for sites with multiple high traffic email systems

Framingham, MA, August 25, 2007 - Process Software, a premier supplier of communications software solutions to mission-critical environments, announced today the availability of its PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway version 3.0.

The new Advanced Infrastructure (AI) module allows email filtering to be distributed across multiple systems, which is a common requirement in large global organizations. With the growth in the volume of email over the past few years, PreciseMail’s AI module provides the scalability, performance and reliability needed to filter an organization’s email effectively. Because email is a critical part of business communications, this module also includes clustering capabilities to eliminate the risk of downtime.

PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway’s highly sophisticated filtering engine is based on a combination of proven technologies including heuristic analysis, reputation filtering, DNS blacklisting, and Bayesian artificial intelligence. As a result, PreciseMail Anti-spam Gateway continues to maintain a high filter detection rate without losing legitimate messages. "I have now used PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway for the past few years. The Process Software development team has consistently updated the filters to stay ahead of all the latest spamming tricks", said Ruslan Laishev, system administrator of Delta Telecom, Russia’s first mobile telecom operator. He added, “ PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway eliminated over 90% of our spam problem out-of-the-box”.

Other improved features include better performance when using the optional Sophos Anti-Virus module and additional on demand graphical reporting capabilities, which provides administrators with a greater level of detail on their message environment. PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway runs on Linux, Solaris, Tru64 UNIX, and is the only commercially available anti-spam software that is supported on OpenVMS Alpha, VAX, and Integrity systems.

“We have not only seen an increase in spam over the past few years, but the type of spam that has the potential to be more damaging”, said Brian McDonald, president and chief executive officer for Process Software. “Spam not only consumes bandwidth and system resources, but it is a delivery mechanism for malware, such as spyware and Trojans. Leveraging our 20 years of email and security expertise, PreciseMail Anti-Spam Gateway delivers high spam detection accuracy across a distributed email environment.”
