Process Software Publishes Case Study and Whitepaper on Intrusion Prevention System
Provides Real-Time Security for OpenVMS Systems

Framingham, MA, June 15, 2009 - Today Process Software announces that MultiNet TCP/IP for OpenVMS now provides real-time security with Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) support. It is a highly flexible and customizable security feature that allows for both MultiNet applications and user applications to detect and defeat potential security threats. The IPS feature monitors network and system activities for malicious or unwanted behavior and can react, in real-time, to block or prevent those activities. MultiNet SSH, FTP, SNMP, Telnet, IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 have been instrumented with IPS to monitor traffic for malicious attacks.

Both a white paper and case study have been written to help explain the IPS feature and how it can add an extra layer of security to your mission-critical systems.
